Little did I know that would lead to a high school career playing the string bass in the Charlotte Symphony Youth Orchestra. I enjoyed playing Gustav Holst’s “The Planets” because the bass line participated in the melody. And yes, I could fit a bass in a sedan – talk about a real life puzzle.”
